While you are out
The river, the old town and a ride out to a pepper farm are easier with the guide already on the phone. Addresses and map pins are the same ones published on each place page.
On your phone
Add the guide to your home screen. The directory, map, hours and saved places open full screen, from one icon, without the browser bar.
Why install it
Installing does not create a second product. The browser adds kampot.guide to your home screen and opens it in its own window. You still get the directory, the map, published hours, deals, events, guides and Ask Kampot.
The difference is how you get back to it. A browser tab is easy to lose between maps, messages and photos. The icon stays put. When you are choosing a place to eat, or checking whether somewhere is open, you tap Kampot Guide and the page uses the whole screen.
Saved places, places you opened recently, and comparisons are kept in the app on this phone. Sign in and the saved-place list follows your account. A guest list on another phone or browser starts empty until you save there or sign in.

Open-now uses the Phnom Penh clock and the hours on the place page. The installed app shows those same hours. It does not invent a schedule.
Visitors do not sign up to install. Business owners still sign in on the website when they manage a listing. The home-screen icon does not change that.
How it installs
Kampot Guide is a website that browsers can install. Chrome and Edge can show their own install dialog from the button above. An iPhone uses Safari’s Add to Home Screen instead. The result is the same icon.
Safari is the browser that can add the guide. Tap Share, then Add to Home Screen, then Add. If you are in Chrome or another browser on the iPhone, open this page in Safari first. Apple does not offer Kampot Guide as a separate App Store download.
In Chrome, the Install Kampot Guide button opens the install dialog when Chrome is ready. If it does not, open the Chrome menu and tap Install app, or Add to Home screen. Confirm, and the icon is added.
Chrome and Edge can install it as an app window. Use the button, the install icon in the address bar, or the browser menu and choose Install Kampot Guide. It then opens without the normal browser frame.
On an iPhone, touch and hold the Kampot Guide icon, then remove it. On Android, touch and hold the icon and uninstall it. On a computer, open Chrome or Edge’s list of installed apps and remove Kampot Guide. The website at kampot.guide stays available either way.
It is this website, installed by your browser. There is no separate download from the App Store or Google Play. The icon opens kampot.guide full screen.
The icon stays on your home screen. You open the directory, map, hours, deals and Ask Kampot without searching for the tab. The browser bar is gone, so place pages use the whole screen.
The homepage, directory and saved or recently opened place pages can reopen from a cache if you have already viewed them. Maps, live hours and Ask Kampot still need a connection. This is not a full offline map of Kampot.
Saved places, recent places and comparisons stay in the installed app on this phone. If you sign in, the saved-place list is stored with your account and can appear on another phone after you sign in there.
Open kampot.guide in Safari, tap Share, then Add to Home Screen, then Add. Other browsers on an iPhone cannot add it the same way. Use Safari.
On an iPhone, touch and hold the icon and remove it. On Android, touch and hold the icon and uninstall it. In Chrome or Edge on a computer, remove Kampot Guide from the browser’s installed apps.
