Secret Lake is the English nickname for Boeung Tomnop Tek Krolar, mapped east of the old town in Tuek Chhou. It is an artificial reservoir, built by forced labour in the Khmer Rouge years, and the guides who still run the countryside loop in October 2026 tell that history on the bank. GetYourGuide listings updated 1 and 6 October 2026 still include the lake with the pepper farm, the salt fields, and a cave. There is no beach club and no published gate hour. Go with the history in mind. It is a ride, not a sunset walk from the river hotels.
