Use the Kampot map to plan less travel

Group Kampot stops on the map: old town streets, Street 735, National Road 33, the Kep road and Bokor, so a day trip does not cross the province twice.

A bridge crossing the river in Kampot

The areas the Kampot map is split into

Start with one area on the Kampot map, rather than a province-wide checklist. The directory groups places into Old Town, Riverside, East side, Teuk Chhou, pepper country, toward Kep, the Bokor road, the station area and the wider province. These are browsing areas, not measured travel-time zones.

Old Town is the numbered grid; Riverside includes Street 735 along the Kampot River. East side covers places around National Road 33, including Cafe Espresso at number 17. Teuk Chhou is upriver.

Pepper country includes La Plantation in Bosjheng. Toward Kep includes the salt fields and farms such as Sothy's. Bokor is the mountain trip; the station area is north of town around National Road 3. Check the actual roads between pins before combining stops.

Cluster the old town instead of crossing it

Filter the map to restaurants or cafes and choose a few nearby stops. Street 730 has Epic Arts Cafe; Street 726 has Twenty Three and Burgershack; Street 722 has Aroma House.

Street 724 has Simple Things, the Giant Ibis office and a pharmacy. Street 720 has the night market. Smashed Burger Co is listed inside Three Little Pigs Cafe on Street 710.

Sras Chhuk, the lotus pond, and the Old Bridge can fit an old-town walk. Choose stops for your own pace, check current opening information and leave a nearby alternative. For a walking-day outline, see A slower first day in Kampot's old town.

The river, the bridges and National Road 3

My location sorts results by straight-line distance, not road distance or journey time. A place across the river can look close while requiring a detour to a usable crossing. Check current bridge access and the road route rather than assuming the Old Bridge suits every journey.

Share the exact address or entrance with your driver, not just an area name. Rikitikitavi is at Street 735 and Street 728; Riverside alone does not identify its door. If a listing marks its pin as approximate, use the address or contact the venue.

The Royal Railway station is on National Road 3 north of the old town. It is separate from the Giant Ibis office on Street 724. Confirm your actual boarding point, departure time and luggage arrangements with the operator.

East, Kep, pepper and Bokor are separate trips

National Road 33 leads east toward countryside outings, including Phnom Chhnork. A visit to La Plantation in Bosjheng or the farms toward Kep needs transport and confirmed visitor arrangements; it is not an extra block on a Street 735 walk.

Bokor Mountain deserves a dedicated day. Its church, waterfall and plateau stops depend on weather, access and the route agreed with your driver. Do not add the summit after an old-town lunch and assume everything will fit.

Teuk Chhou is an upriver outing, not a necessary extension of the pepper or Bokor day. For any countryside package, ask which stops are included, in what order, how long the driver waits and how you return.

A day plan you can finish

Town day: choose coffee around Street 730, a short old-town walk, a waterfront break on Street 735 and the night market around dusk. These are options, not a requirement to visit every street.

Countryside day: start with one confirmed farm visit, then add the salt fields or a cave only if the agreed route and available time allow. Before you book a Kampot pepper farm visit covers booking and transport questions.

Mountain day: use the Bokor Mountain guide to plan a separate trip with room for cloud or a closed stop.

Travel day: confirm the railway station or bus boarding point before departure. Save your shortlist, check each listing and clear distance sorting when you want to browse an area instead of what is nearest.

Business examples in three different areas

Simple Things, on Street 724, is an old-town vegetarian meal option: keep it with the numbered-grid walking plan.

Cafe Espresso, at 17 National Road 33, is an east-side coffee option. Check the road approach rather than placing it between two old-town doors.

Thansur Bokor is a plateau resort option for a mountain stay, not accommodation beside the town river. Confirm availability and visitor access directly.

These examples illustrate separate map clusters; they are not a nearby-business list or a route to complete in one day. Check each listing and current service before travelling. This editorial shortlist is not a paid-placement ranking.
