Day 1: Old Town and the river

Spend day one around Kampot's numbered Old Town streets and the riverfront. Group nearby stops, allow time for breaks, and check local routes from your accommodation.

Use A slower first day in Kampot's old town for a street-by-street walk. The Kampot Museum and Sras Chhuk lotus pond are possible daytime stops; check the museum's status before making it a fixed plan, and remember lotus blooms are seasonal.

For dinner, Twenty Three is on Street 726 and its listing notes a Monday and Tuesday closure. The Kampot Night Market is on Street 720; stalls have their own schedules, so keep a nearby alternative.

Day 2: Choose one countryside route

Do not treat every farm and cave as one compact loop. Choose a confirmed farm visit, then add one nearby stop only after agreeing the road, waiting time and return with your driver. Ask Peppercorn Tuk Tuk which stops its current countryside trip includes.

La Plantation is in Bosjheng village east of town. Its visitor page says the farm is open daily and the last guided visit is at 4pm; booking instructions vary by season, so confirm your visit and current tour terms before setting out.

Phnom Chhnork Cave is about 8 kilometres east on Highway 33. The salt fields are on the separate Kep road, not on Highway 33. Pick the cave or salt-road route as an extra only if your driver confirms it fits; otherwise save the salt fields for another ride.

Day 3: Bokor Mountain or an upriver day

Option A is a dedicated Bokor Mountain day trip. The plateau, viewpoints and Popokvil Waterfall depend on weather, road access and time; start early and agree which stop to skip if conditions change.

Option B is a slower river day at Teuk Chhou Rapids, upriver from town. A river cruise is a separate option: confirm its departure point, route, life jackets, weather policy and return rather than assuming it is bundled with the rapids.

Adjust the plan to your transport and the day

The days are a framework, not a timed tour. Check opening information and weather before leaving, agree the transport and return plan for countryside trips, and leave one stop out rather than rushing between areas.

Use the Kampot map to check where stops sit, and the map-planning guide to avoid crossing the province twice. For the first or last day around a departure, check the Kampot transport listings and confirm your actual station or bus boarding point.
